If you see the following message on your TV screen, you are reading the correct guide.

Step 1. Reboot your Set Top Box – To Be Able To Reach The SETTINGS Menu

Reboot your box to be able to enter the SETTINGS MENUS and see what version of software your STB is running, as follows.

REMOVE INTERNET CONNECTION FROM THE BOX – Unplug LAN Cable / Wifi Dongle (Please note exactly where these cables / wifi Dongle connect to on the Set Top Box as you will need to reconnect them)

REBOOT BOX – Remove Power Plug / Wait 30 seconds / Reconnect Power Plug

The PAGE LOADING ERROR Screen will be displayed.

While you are in the Settings Menus (unless you need to modify your WiFi settings), please do not make any other changes as this may affect your Set Top Box working correctly.

Step 2. Select your Software Version

In both cases, please use the ARROW Keys “On Your Remote Control” to move around the Menu Screens and use the OK BUTTON “On Your Remote Control” when prompted to Press OK / Verify / Confirm Options as and when you are prompted in the update process.

Step 3. Version 1 Software Update

If this is your error screen, please follow the instructions.

Please re-connect your internet. Wait 30 seconds and press the F4, blue button on your remote control to access the service menus.

Scroll down to ‘Software Update’.

Press ‘OK’.

Default method of HTTP Update is correct.

Use arrow buttons to highlight ‘Start Update’ and press ‘OK’.

Press ‘OK’ on ‘Verify’ button.

Press ‘OK’ on ‘Start Update’ button.

A Progress Bar will indicate that the file is being received. Do not press any other buttons or remove internet or power while the box is updating.

After the download process has completed – the STB will reboot itself in the usual way with the yellow scrolling bar to indicate loading and will operate as normal.

Step 3. Version 2 Software Update

Reconnect internet and wait 30 seconds for the STB to obtain an IP / internet access.

Select the option that says SYSTEM SETTINGS – PRESS SETUP / COG WHEEL. You will reach the System Settings screen.

Scroll down the options in the settings menu and select the menu item that says SOFTWARE UPDATE.

Now press OK on your remote control.

The update menu will show that the box is set to default to obtain updates via method = HTTP and show the update URL – DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING.

Press OK button to VERIFY your selection.

After the update file has been verified a software update screen will be displayed to show current version of software in the STB and the new version that is available to update.

Now press F1 to start the update.

A progress bar will be displayed, showing the update. Do not press any other keys or disconnect box until the process is complete.
